Combine IRA Savings with State Incentives to Upgrade Your Home With Efficiency and Comfort in Mind

The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) helps New Yorkers get the latest clean energy technologies and equipment that will save energy for years to come. From the cars we drive, to the ways we heat and cool our homes, the IRA is helping New Yorkers choose clean energy technologies that improve their health, safety, and quality of life.

Inflation Reduction Act Tax Credits

The table below shows the IRA tax credits and NYS incentives you may be eligible to receive when you purchase a qualifying item. Eligibility for IRA and NYS offerings varies by product and may be based on household income, federal income tax liability, product specifications, and more.

Consult the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) guidance for taxpayers on credits and deductions and your tax advisor to determine IRA eligibility. Income-eligible New Yorkers may be able to receive additional State and federal rebates along with the incentives and rebates listed below.

    How does it work?

Interested in exploring your options? The NYSERDA eligibility calculator takes your household income and number of occupants to calculate the amount of support you qualify for. Once you qualify, you can contact us for a quote and apply your incentive to the project. This could be no or low cost to the household.

    Who qualifies?

Most of the Hudson Valley may fall into the spectrum of support from these programs. While there’s a range of where you may fit into this spectrum, there is no cost or commitment to see if you qualify. You may be eligible to add serious upgrades to your home for less or even nothing performed by Smart Source, a trusted, licensed, and certified electrical team here in the Hudson Valley that has been awarded the option to offer these incentives.

we know what you’re thinking… what’s in it for us?

We know you might have some questions. We’re happy to help! Shoot us an email to let us know how we can simplify the process and help save you some money.

We get it! While the saying “Nothing in this world’s for free” is a very real sentiment, this program is entirely legitimate and put in place to help communities keep up with changing technology and more efficient ways to live.

It’s all about who’s picking up the bill !

As a participating contractor in the EmPower+ program, we can still provide exceptional service here in the Hudson Valley while our costs to provide the work stay the same. It all comes down to how much we need to bill the customer for the project versus how much we can lean on these programs to compensate us.

Sometimes that means no cost to you, and other times that means very low costs to you. Your qualification status is what sets the bar!
